It is with great pleasure we announce the Telluride Beaming Bioneers and the Telluride Institute's "Sustainability Now!" Ideas Festival 2005 to be held October 13-16th and invite you to attend. We are happy to be furthering the cause of sustainability through this collaboration of the Telluride Institute and Beaming Bioneers in Telluride to produce a stellar event full of interesting information and provocative discussions.
The festival will be full of wonderful movers, shakers, thinkers and do-ers from around our local region exploring visions, problems and solutions in addition to the live satellite feed from the Bioneers conference in California. The festival will begin with an opening party on Thursday Oct. 13th, followed by a celebration harvest dinner. Inspiring panels wrap around the live satellite feed from the Bioneers Conference in California. Ideas Festival topics include Powering the Future, Everybody Eats and Waste Not, Want Not, Sustainable Business, Life in the Mountains, the Next Generation , and Crisis on Main Street? to name a few. On Friday evening we are honored to have Dr. Bernard Lietaer, author of The Future of Money, as a keynote speaker. We finish on Sunday with the final Bioneers plenaries, conclusions and presentation of Action Agendas. The Telluride Institute is committed to maximum access to the event so all events are free and open to the public with the exception of the Celebration Harvest Dinner on Thursday evening.
The Beaming Bioneers portion of the Festival features a live satellite feed from the world-renowned Bioneers Conference. These plenary sessions feature brilliant minds covering topics from the cutting edge of technology of neurolinguistic programming to social issues of indigenous people of the world. Janine Benyus will be speaking about Biomimicry ? how we can learn from Nature's billions of years of experience to create the products and processes we want. Discussions regarding global warming have heated up lately and Bill McKibben will give a Bioneer's interpretation of the latest research. Whether it's the feminine leadership energy of Rha Goddess or the down home food growing insights of Wil Bullock, the Bioneers will set your mind whirling with possibilities while the Ideas Festival discussions will ground you with its deep community roots.
We are extremely excited about Ideas 2005 and your involvement in this first annual collaboration of two very prestigious organizations, the Telluride Institute and Telluride Beaming Bioneers. With your help and that of experts and distinguished guests, the festival will draft an Action Agenda, a list of practical and integrated steps we can take in our local communities to protect our environment and our culture while strengthening our economy for the long term. Our goal is to bring the global message of Bioneers home to create local action. Your participation will help make this plan a reality.
Thanks for your interest.
