San Miguel River Raft Trip
Education and Fun, who could ask for more?
The Institute hosted a Grown Up Raft Trip on Saturday, June 28th.  This annual event is a way for adults, families and patrons of the Telluride Institute to participate in the exciting hands-on educational programs we offer to the schools along the watershed.  Rafters floated down the San Miguel, enjoying educational speeches about the areas they were seeing, eating delicious local food, and just hanging out in our beautiful watershed.  After an afternoon on the river, guests were treated to an Indian Ridge Farms locally grown, organic, gourmet dinner, which also featured well paired wines.  All river guides and equipment were provided by Telluride Fly-Fishing.  If  you are interested in participating in our two trips next spring, sign up now as the seats are going fast!  $300 per person for all day rafting, lunch, gourmet dinner and transportation.

An Intimate Evening with Water, Music and Great Company

Water Power
High atop the San Miguel Watershed the Bridal Veil Powerstation sits, churning out power for the Town of Telluride.  Institute Trustee Alessandra Jacobson and her husband Eric, the man behind the restoration of the plant, open their home to this once a year fundraiser for the Institute.  August 26th was a beautiful night and Hugh Livingston provided haunting music to make the evening truly memorable.  Transport to and from the falls in jeeps, dinner, wine and a tour of the power plant provided guests with a full exciting evening.
Seating for this event is limited, if you are interested in attending next year's event please contact us for an invitation.
