Watershed Puppet Shows

Introducing a new generation to Watershed Stewardship

Our traveling Puppet Theater presents a huge cast of watershed species - mammals, fish, birds and snakes - in exciting watershed dramas for ages 6 months through 8 years. The basic concepts of watershed awareness are introduced in simple ways that form a foundation for children's later participation in our Watershed Education Project.

Our exciting puppet shows include "Where does the River Come From?", "Where does the River Go?" "A Cricket's journey down the watershed," "The Great Battle between Dogs and Cats," "The Broken Zoo," ""Day World/Night World," "Save The Valley Floor," and "Get Outa My Hair, Ski Area Bear"!

Between December of 2007 and mid-February of 2008, the Telluride Institute performed Watershed puppet shows for every pre-school, kindergarten, and first grade student in our Watershed.

We are always looking for new scripts, if you are interested in writing for the Watershed Puppet shows please just let us know.  If you are fluent in Spanish, we need translation work done as well as new scripts in Spanish.
