About Christo’s Current Projects
Over The River will suspend 5.9 miles of silvery, luminous fabric panels high above a 42-mile stretch of the Arkansas River between Salida and Cañon City in south-central Colorado. The Mastaba, Project for Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates will be Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s only permanent large-scale work. Christo unveiled Big Air Package in March 2013. This museum installation is the world’s largest indoor sculpture and will be on view at the Gasometer Oberhausen in Germany until December 30, 2013.
Christo donated the two original Over The River preparatory works shown above to the citizens of the State of Colorado in the summer of 2012 and they are currently on display in Governor John Hickenlooper’s office.
