You are cordially invited to the upcoming Watershed Expedition Series; an intimate evening with world class mountaineer, skier, and environmental activist Hilaree Nelson! This free of charge program will include spectacular videos, slides and heartwarming stories from some of Hilaree’s most challenging adventures on every continent.

Hilaree was recently named the captain of The North Face Athlete Team. With more than 40 expeditions to some of the most remote corners of the globe, she won recognition as the 2018 National Geographic Adventurer of the Year. As a member of “Our Winters Riders’ Alliance”, she is a voice of advocacy for our wild places. Hilaree will include how she got her start, the trials and tribulations of the sport, while raising kids and following her passions.

The event is co-sponsored by the Watershed Education Program of the Telluride Institute, Wilkinson Public Library and Sheep Mountain Alliance. After the presentation in the Opera House, there will be beverages and appetizers in the Sheridan Show Bar and a “meet and greet” with Hilaree.  There will also be an opportunity to bid on silent auction items; which will benefit the free educational field programs the Watershed Education Program provides for area youth and adults in our diverse watershed.
