The Watershed Education Program of the Telluride Institute is seeking professional educators for two positions for the Fall 2013 Season:
First Instructor Part-Time Position: 3rd – 8th Grade Programming –
Entire Watershed Including Telluride, Norwood, Nucla, Naturita & Paradox
Desirable Qualifications: BA or BS and/or Education Degree & Experience
Hiring on an Independent Contractor Basis: pay begins at $17.00 per hour
August 19 – 23, 2013: @10 hours per week – Flexible planning times
August 26 – October 11, 2013: @20 hours per week
(Must be available from 8AM to 4PM Tuesday – Thursday; Flexible times Mondays and Fridays.)
*The majority of the August 26 – October 11 schedule will be set up by August 26.
Second Instructor Part-Time Position: High School AP Environmental Science – Telluride High School
Desirable Qualifications: MA or MS and Education Degree & Experience
Hiring on an Independent Contractor Basis: pay begins at $25.00 per hour
August 19 -23, 2013: @10 hours planning this week including meeting(s) with the AP environmental teacher
August 26 – October 11, 2013: The applicant will provide a preliminary proposal of programming, activities and time commitment
based on the meeting(s) with the AP environmental science teacher and the WEP program director. The proposal will then be reviewed and modified as needed; once finalized WEP will make a payment commitment based on projected hours.
Both positions are open for renewal for the Winter/Spring 2013-14 WEP season. There will be a required performance review.
Hours and time commitment will vary depending on season and position.
