I’m excited for the Telluride Institute to be working with Western Colorado University’s School of Environment & Sustainability on this conference, along with the Aspen International Mountain Foundation and the United Nations Mountain Partnership. TI founder Pamela Zoline has had a strong vision of united mountain communities around the world to share information and pursue innovative ideas for community, place and people. I hope to bring the work of Dolores LaChapelle to the table with her Way of the Mountain vision, as well as my own poetic manifestation of that vision in the Facebook group, Union of Mountain Poets.
