Petrichor Presents: After The Rain
After the Rain is a 10-minute visual love letter to the Telluride Mushroom Festival which depicts the journey to Telluride so beautifully. Each and every one of you has to sacrifice something to make to our box canyon town, but once you get here, you get to witness the spirit of Telluride and how it brings our TMF community even closer together. The documentary captures the essence of what this feels like in a way that’s otherwise hard to put into words.”
The film is directed by Petrichor’s videographer, Riley McIlwaine.
“Telluride is such a magical place, and the mushroom festival really
brings it to life. It was truly a beautiful, unique, and emotional experience being a part of it. My goal with the film was to capture that more intimate and personal experience I had – an unforgettable road trip into a mystical mountain town – and I hope that resonates with the audience.”
The film makes its debut NOW and will be having its premiere showing at the Historic Sheridan Hotel and Opera House to open this year’s Puff Ball on August 16th!

Hosted by Petrichor Mushrooms, you’ll have an opportunity to welcome in the weekend with other like-minded folks. Be like the mycelium and take this opportunity to connect with each other over mushroom beer infused with tinctures from Tradd Cotter.
The Puff Ball - Closing Night Costume Dance Party
This year, Petrichor is hosting The Puffball — the festival’s legendary closing night dance celebration. The PUFFBALL, brought to you by Petrichor, is the official afterparty of the Telluride Mushroom Festival,taking place Saturday, August 16 from 8PM to 12AM at the Historic Sheridan Opera House in Telluride, CO. This conscious, ecstatic dance party opens with a special screening of After the Rain — a Petrichor-produced film celebrating the 2024 festival — followed by live performances from Sudakra and headliner David Satori of Dirtwire and Beats Antique.
Expect mushroom costumes, immersive vibes, and a full bar featuring beer, wine, and spirits, plus a lineup of functional elixirs including Petrichor Lightning and other one-night-only creations. Come dance, connect, and help us close out the festival with magic, music, and movement.
Join us on Saturday, August 16th, as we transform the final night of the fest into an immersive sonic experience unlike anything else. Music, lights, fungi, and rhythm.
