PictureThe Telluride Institute Tibet fund was established in January 2009, taking the Institute’s mission to the roof of the world. The Fund was created with the goal of providing humanitarian aid to the people of Tibet. In  accordance with TI’s mission, the Tibet Fund will support initiatives that help keep the ancient Tibetan culture alive, promote education, and strengthen local economies. The Tibet Fund is run by Elisabeth Gick, a longtime Telluride local who “loves Tibet just as much as Telluride.”

My friend Bill Warnock, president of the Boulder-Lhasa Sister City Project for the past 28 years, is planning a major health care project in the Tibetan area of Kham (now part of the Chinese province of Sichuan). Bill has accomplished amazing acts of compassion in action on behalf of Tibetans; his relationship with Chinese authorities is very good, thanks to delicate citizen diplomacy.

For a few years his focus has been on health care for children. Please take a good look at the project website and try to help out. Tibet has moved away from our attention in the last year(s), but sadly, the situation there has not gotten easier.  Let’s show the people of Tibet that they have friends who care.

Please make your donations directly to BLSCP , either by credit card at www.boulder-tibet.org/paypal.html or by sending a check to:
